Update: Javon Ringer out 4-6 weeks with sprained MCL

Runningback on the Tennessee Titans, Javon Ringer was tackled after a reception during the Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday that took him out of the game.

The Tennessean, reported earlier that the injury Ringer suffered could of been season ending.

Ringer suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter on a play, he was then carted off the field. Once in the locker room he was in crutches.

Ringer underwent an MRI earlier today and it came back that he had a sprained MCL and will miss between 4 and 6 weeks.

Jamie Harper will be the Titans #2 RB while Ringer is away.

This is the second time in 2012 that Ringer has suffered a serious injury. He suffered an elbow injury in the season-opener that became infected. He went through two surgeries and spent four nights in the hospital as a result of cellulitis elbow infection. Doctors told him that the infection could of resulted in amputation of his arm.
