Tayler Malsam and TriStar Motorsports part ways, Jeff Green joins team

The No. 19 G-Oil Toyota will no longer be driven by Tayler Malsam. The team announced today that after a 26-race relationship “they have agreed to part ways” with Malsam. Malsam was 13th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings.

“All of us at TriStar Motorsports appreciate what Tayler has done for our race team this year,” said Team Owner, Mark Smith. “Tayler did a great job for us and we wish him nothing but the best of luck as he explores future opportunities in this sport. I think it is really important for us as a team to set our sights on the future and take the appropriate steps in that direction.”

Mike Bliss will take over the seat of the No. 19 car. He had been driving the No. 44 machine for the team and was 8th in the overall driver standings while driving a car that was sponsored for much of the 27 races run so far.

Jeff Green, the 2000 Nationwide Series Champion, will take over for Bliss in the No. 44 car. The team plans to make an announcement later in regards to their driver lineup for the remainder of the year.
