Tony Eury Jr. has been released from his role as crew chief for the No. 7 Nationwide Series car of Danica Patrick. Patrick is currently 11th in the overall Nationwide standings following a 12th place finish on Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway.
The move was hardly surprising considering his father, Tony Eury Sr., was recently replaced by Ryan Pemberton.
Pemberton will also assume the role of crew chief for Patricks car.
When asked how his relationship was with JR Motorsports Eury Jr said the following.
“Me and Dale Jr. are perfect. We are fine.”
It remains to be seen if his partial role of team owner changes. Eury Jr is also an employee of Hendrick Motorsports.
