Ryan Pemberton is leaving Tommy Baldwin Racing to join JR Motorsports as its competition director, though his official title may be slightly different. JR Motorsports recently parted ways with Tony Eury Sr after A five plus year run together.
JR Motorsports fields two cars in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the No. 7 of Danica Patrick and the No. 88 of Cole Witt.
“He started Monday and he’s come in to help Kelley, help us with some ideas on what direction we can go to get better,” Earnhardt Jr. of Pemberton. Pemberton was most recently was crew chief for #36-Dave Blaney at Tommy Baldwin Racing. TBR has not yet named a replacement for the 43-year-old Pemberton, the younger brother of NASCAR vice president of competition Robin Pemberton.
