Nelson Piquet and Alex Tagliani will drive the #30 Turner Motorsports car in upcoming Nationwide races.
When Piquet drives the #30 car at Bristol it will be the fourth start of his career. In his most recent NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Road America in June, Piquet Jr. claimed his first victory in the top three levels of NASCAR’s touring series.
Alex Tagliani will drive the car in Montreal. Last season he finished second while driving the #12 for Penske Racing. It will be his fourth start at the NNS level.
The announcement Wednesday comes on the heels of Tagliani’s season-best finish in IndyCar when he finished fifth at Edmonton. The deal for the Montreal race on Aug. 18 came together after IndyCar canceled its event in China.
