According to Bob Pockrass, Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is putting his name on the car of Tony Raines for Sunday’s running of the Daytona 500.
Raines is driving the #26 car for Front Row Motorsports. Raines is running the organizations third car which figures to be a part time team for much of the upcoming season.
Santorum is hoping that his exposure to the NASCAR fan base will boost him in his contest with Mitt Romney for the GOP nomination.
Raines had been the only car entered into the 54th running of the Daytona 500 which did not have sponsorship.
The 47 year old from LaPorte, Indiana, has made 162 starts at the Sprint Cup level.
I know at least one family who will be cheering on Tony Raines at the Daytona 500 on Sunday! Go #26! Go Rick! Game on!
Pretty smart. But i will be rooting for a Chevy to bad its a ford.
Praying for a safe, smart race for both Tony Raines and Rick Santorum. God Bless,
Doug, how could it be anything but a Ford? They didn’t have to take a bailout. Go Tony Raines and Rick Santorum.
If santorum had did his homework,he would know that the ford family has supported anti-life groups for decades.Poor selection richard s.
