Jim Utter is reporting that Jason Leffler is the leading candidate to drive for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series. This comes after word surfaced that Busch was scheduled to drive few, if any, races in the Truck and Nationwide Series next season.
Leffler had raced with Turner Motorsports in the Nationwide Series in recent years. Last season Leffler ran all 34 Nationwide events for Turner and posted 12 top-10’s and 2 top-5’s.
In 46 career truck series starts Leffler has a win, 19 top-5’s and 29 top-10’s. He last ran a Truck Series race in 2009.
Kurt Busch has also been mentioned as the possible driver of his brothers Nationwide entry this coming season. It’s also possible that Kurt could run the full schedule and opt to run for the Nationwide title.
