Much like last years eventual NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year, this year’s will not race in all of the events. TRG racing group has withdrawn the #77 car which was to be driven by Andy Lally.
Lally had been behind the wheel of the #71 car for the team this year but had been moved over to the second car an attempt to get Hermie Sadler a guaranteed starting spot at Matinsville. The #71 car fell out of the top-35 in owner points following Talladega and is now 2 points behind the #38 of Front Row Motorsports.
Lally tweeted that the following.
TRG withdrew the 77 this weekend. We need to focus on getting the 71 back in the top 35. I wont be racing this weekend.
With the withdraw of Lally there are 46 cars on the entry list.
The team originally had said they would try to run a second car for the remaining events this year.
