Blaney’s kidney stones give Skinner full race in 36

Dave Blaney and Mike Skinner swapped rides prior to the start of the Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Blaney who has driven the #36 for Tommy Baldwin Racing was planning to participate in the full race but came down with a fight of kidney stones Monday night.

In turn Mike Skinner who had been scheduled to start and park the #60 car was allowed to race the full event.

Blaney pulled off the track on lap 2 with a “vibration” to finish 43rd while Skinner rolled around for 323 circuits and a 27th place finish.

Blaney is expected to return to the #36 car.
