Ryan Newman won Wednesday nights modified race at Bristol. Newman led the race 7 times for 107 laps en-route to picking up his 4th career modified win.
It was the second year in a row he won the race in Thunder Valley. His other two wins both came at New Hampshire including one earlier this year when it was found that the gaskets in his car were too large resulting in suspensions and fines.
Newman was the only Sprint Cup regular in the field for a race that was the preshow to the Camping World Truck Series race which followed it. On paper it was the most predictable race to be run this week at Bristol, on the track the story was much the same.
Justin Bonsignore finished the race second but when asked if he had anything for Newman didn’t seem optimistic saying that Newman has a better car.
