Matt Kenseth will run this Sunday’s race with supermarket giant Kroger on the panels of the #17 Ford Fusion. Earlier this year Kenseth finished second at Michigan to Denny Hamlin.
Kenseth, the 2003 Series Champion, has won two races this year. (Texas, Dover) Sunday will mark his 25th Cup start at Michigan International Speedway. He has won there 2 times and boasts 15n finishes inside the top-10. His average finish there is 9.5 which is bested only by teammate Carl Edwards’ 6.2 on the 2 mile track.
Thus far there has been no indication to whether this is a multi-race deal or just a one time occasion. Kenseth has been primarily sponsored by Crown Royal the last two seasons but that relationship will end at seasons end.
Just a big thanks to Kroger from a Kenseth fan.
