Edwards vs the field at Road America

In 15 NASCAR Nationwide events this year drivers who race on Sunday have claimed 13 victories. The exceptions have been Justin Allgaier at Chicagoland and Ricky Stenhouse Jr at Iowa. This week marks quite an opportunity to dent the .866 win percentage of the Cup regulars.

With only Carl Edwards listed in the #60 Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing it would appear that the Nationwide regulars have a chance. If not then perhaps a ringer like Jacques Villeneuve who is filling in for Brad Keselowski and the #22 or Ron Fellows who is driving the #7 for JR Motorsports.

To make it simple: If anyone wins but Edwards then the field wins.

The problem? Well despite only 3 full time Cup drivers racing at Road America last year (Edwards, Keselowski and Paul Menard) they still took home the win. The winner of course was Carl Edwards and he again has to be the odds on favorite by far for this weekends race as well.

Can someone step up and stop Carl Edwards or will the Cup drivers continue to crash the Nationwide party?
