Colts to use Stover as kicker in playoffs

John Oehser reports via twitter that Matt Stover will continue in his role as placekicker of the Indianapolis Colts. Stover, 41, who spent his first 19 NFL seasons with Cleveland/Baltimore, has converted 9 of 11 field goal attempts and all 33 extra-point tries.

Adam Vinatieri is still on the active roster and Caldwell said Thursday that could remain the case.

While indications are that Vinatieri is healthy the Colts are going with the comfortably that Stover offers.
