Bryan was never expected to compete in the ring and had he shown up, he would simply have cut a promo. Some feel that Bryan being pulled from this tour is a sign that he will need another surgery. With no news on this we will wait.
The return of Dean Ambrose may wait until WWE Night of Champions, or the following RAW.
Ambrose is slated to be a part of filming for WWE Studios’ Lockdown with filming set to wrap up on September 20th. Right now reports say that Ambrose will appear on RAW and SmackDown following the PPV.
