Scott Dixon won the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday.
The NTT IndyCar Series had it’s second point paying race of the season. Felix Rosenqvist began the day on the pole but would finish ninth.
A differing of pit strategy emerged with two camps of drivers. Scott Dixon would find himself out front on the two stop strategy with Newgarden closing in.
After contact from third place runner Colton Herta, Newgarden would stall falling to third. Herta would get to the rear or Dixon but the driver of the PNC Bank No. 9 car was able to make his fuel strategy last and win the event.
