WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Tonight’s airing of WWE Monday Night RAW is the final Raw build to the WWE Battleground PPV, which is taking place this Sunday, October 6, 2013.

Here are five storylines from tonight’s show to watch for:

The McMahon – Rhodes rivalry continues

The rivalry between the McMahon’s and Rhodes continued to heat up last week when Cody Rhodes and Goldust hopped the barricade in street clothes and got a few shots in on The Shield, Triple H’s chosen opponents for Daniel Bryan and the rest of the locker room, moments before the first 11-on-3 Handicap Elimination Match in Raw history. The Rhodes accepted a sit down with COO Triple H for tonight – what will happen?

 Los Matadores make their appearance

Los Matadores are finally making their arrival in WWE.  Little is known about the identities or motivations of the mythical masked men, but in a tag team division rife with competition, the field is wide open for these newcomers to make an immediate impact. One can only hope the mysterious matadors give the WWE Universe a performance they will never soon forget.

Randy Orton continues his old ways

Randy Orton has went back to his old ways of being the Viper. He has beat both The Miz and Rob Van Dam to within an inch of the injured reserve list. What will happen this week as he gears up to fight Daniel Bryan this weekend at Battleground for the WWE Championship?  Does Bryan have an answer for Orton before their big title rematch?

When will the Big Show snap?

What will happen with Big Show this week? Stephanie McMahon has had Big Show right where she wants him, using him as her personal knockout machine to anyone that even looks at her the wrong way. Every man has a breaking point. How much more of Big Show crying can the WWE Universe take?

Will CM Punk learn his lesson and stay away?

CM Punk willingly let himself be drawn into the open for a free opportunity to punish Paul Heyman, believing he could withstand thesneak attack by Ryback and Curtis Axel. He was mistaken of course as The Human Wrecking Ball sent Punk for an ugly trip through a table before The Second City Saint’s hometown crowd. We know now that Punk will meet Ryback at WWE Battleground, but can the former WWE Champion keep his animosity in check until then? Or will he be goaded into another ambush?

Tune in this Monday at 8/7 CT on USA Network to find out what happens in these storylines and more, and check back here, as we will be live blogging the results.
