Chris Johnson played though a meniscus tear in 2013 and will have surgery to repair it.
Johnson, 28, suffered the tear in Week 3 but did not miss a game. It marked the fifth straight season that Johnson appeared in all 16 games.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora says Johnson will have surgery on Tuesday. He is expected to need 4-6 weeks or recovery time.

Johnson is headed towards free agency and his 1,077 rushing yards on 3.86 YPC and six touchdowns are not going to do him any favors.
There will be some teams who will extend an offer to Johnson but they will be on their terms. Johnson appears nearing the end of his career as he approaches the running back cliff known as 30.
