Duron Carter and Nate Montana will both get chances to make the roster of their fathers former teams.
Carter, the son of Cris Carter, will get a chance to make the Minnesota Vikings after getting a camp invite. The son of Joe Montana has received a similar fate as the 49ers have reportedly invited Nate Montana to minicamp.
A minicamp invite does not spell an automatic roster spot anymore then being the son of a former team great. In fact neither Carter or Montana are considered to be NFL caliber players.
Montana’s wandering four-stop college experience saw him flame out at Notre Dame before landing with Division II West Virginia Wesleyan College.
