The tenure of Logan Thomas as the Cardinals quarterback has come to an end. Benched before he could make his NFL debut, Thomas will now back up Ryan Lindley.
The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals have decided to go with Lindley under center despite the face he has offered nothing in relief of Drew Stanton.
Even though they will be playing against a 49ers team that is out of the playoff picture the Cardinals offense figures to be overmatched by the 49ers in much the same way they were in Week 16 against the Seahawks.
Thomas’ demotion comes after he was shaky in Thursday’s practice.
Despite having the best record for much of the season the Cardinals are looking like a one and done team for the playoffs even if Stanton returns.
