Ray McDonald is being investigated by the San Jose Police Department on a rape allegation that was reported last Tuesday.
The 49ers stood by McDonald earlier this year after he was accused of domestic violence. However with the 49ers now being out of the playoff picture they may choose to sit him this time around.
McDonald was served with a search warrant reports ABC 7 after the alleged victim told police she may have been sexually assaulted by the defensive end on Monday.
San Jose PD says it is investigating sexual assault allegation reported Tuesday. Ray McDonald alleged as suspect. No arrests at this point.

The Santa Clara Distric Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute McDonald for domestic violence against his pregnant fiance. The fiance made a 911 call on Aug. 31 to report the domestic violence but later refused.
