Dan Herron expected to be primary back for Colts

Finally the Colts appear to be moving away from the idea that Trent Richardson offers anything to the offense.

Dan Herron will start again in Sunday’s road game against the Browns and team sources have told ESPN’s Josina Anderson that he will have a big role in the Week 14 game in Cleveland.

Herron has hit the holes hard since being given the ball but has been held back by fumbles in each of his last two games.

Coming off a game in which he ran for 88 yards on eight carries and a touchdown a big game today could put the former Ohio State Buckeye in firm control of the top spot at running back on the Colts depth chart.
