The Panthers have activated running back Mike Tolbert from injured reserve.
Tolbert will be ready to return to the field in Week 13 after the Panthers bye week. The return of Tolbert will further muddy the already crowded Panthers backfield with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart both healthy.
He had been out with a hairline fracture in his left leg. In three games this season Tolbert has 14 carries for 10 yards. He has caught eight passes for 59 yards.
The Panthers have also placed tackle Nate Chandler on injured reserve. He started all 11 games for the Panthers at right tackle this yer but overall the offensive line of the Panthers has failed to pass or block block.
A former undrafted free agent Chandler landed a three-year deal worth $7.95 million in June.
