Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno returned to practice on Monday.
Moreno is hoping to return to the football field for Sunday’s Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Dolphins have been with an elbow injury for the past three weeks. He suspected last week that he would need another four weeks so this news is surprising.
Moreno lit up the New England defense in Week 1 running the ball 24 times for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Lamar Miller has been getting the bulk of the carries with Moreno out. He has totaled 49 rushes for 277 yards (5.7 average) and two touchdowns on the season.
The Dolphins have been averaging 142.3 yards per game and are fifth in the NFL in rushing yards on the season.
