After a thrilling win that took all but the last second off the clock this past Sunday against New Orleans, the Minnesota Vikings are the favorites to win the NFC Championship game.
The Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles, their opponent for the game, had 13-3 records this past season. With Sam Bradford going down in Week 1 the Vikings were forced to turn to Case Keenum and things went better than anyone could have expected. Meanwhile MVP candidate Carson Wentz was lost late in the season for the Eagles forcing them to turn to Nick Foles. Ironically both Keenum and Foles were teammates recently with the St. Louis Rams back in 2015. Jeff Fisher must be so proud.
Coverage of the NFC Championship game will air on FOX beginning at 6:40 pm ET from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
The Odds: The Vikings are 3.5 point favorites against the Eagles. The over/under for this one is 38 total points.
As both teams showed this past weekend, neither is to be counted out until the end. However the oddsmakers and bettors are probably liking the success Keenum and the offense have had all season compared to the lighting in the bottle that struck for Foles and company against the Falcons.
