The Colts will start either Josh Freeman or Ryan Lindley in Sunday’s season finale against the Titans.
Neither Freeman or Lindley were on the Colts roster prior to this week but have been taking snaps as the starter thanks to injuries suffered by Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst last weekend.
The Colts need a lot of help to make the playoffs, including a win themselves. Freeman has not played a regular season snap since a horrible 2013 outing with the Vikings while Lindley was absolutely awful filling in for the Cardinals in a playoff loss last season.
Griff Whalen, who was placed on injured reserve two weeks ago, has been waived by the Colts.
The 25-year-old appeared in 14 games for the Colts this season catching 19 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown while also seeing some time returning kicks and punts. Whalen stands a good chance of landing on someones roster ahead of training camp.
