Brandon Weeden to start for Texans as team seaks AFC South crown

Brandon Weeden starting a Week 15 game with playoff implications is not something many envisioned when the NFL season began.

Weeden was not even on the roster for the Texans when the season began, now the former Oklahoma State quart back starts on Sunday against the Titans.

With Brian Hoyer and TJ Yates both out with injuries the veteran Weeden starts in a game which can hand the Texans a playoff spot with a win.

Weeden’s arrival in Houston came after a horrible time replacing Tony Romo for the Cowboys which led to his release. Picked up by the Texans after an injury to Hoyer, Weeden was able to lead the Texans to a win in relief of an injured Yates last week in a win over the Colts.
