The Dallas Cowboys have released running back Joseph Randle, news that was first released by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Randle did not play in Sunday’s loss to Seattle after which owner Jerry Jones expressed concern for him. Randle still faces discipline from the NFL under it’s personal conduct policy following an incident in Wichita, Kansas last winter.

The release of Randle was partially made possible due to the emergence of Darren McFadden however McFadden struggled in Sunday’s game rushing 20 times for just 64 yards.
