Frank Gore expected to remain as lead running back for Colts

Earlier this week the Indianapolis Colts signed Ahmad Bradshaw to add depth to their backfield but right now Frank Gore is expected to remain the team’s lead running back.

Though five games Gore has run for 325 yards on 76 carries (4.5 average) while scoring three touchdowns. Gore has yet to run for 100 yards in any of the Colts games this season with his biggest rushing total coming last Thursday in a win against Houston where he ran for 98 yards.

When healthy Bradshaw has proven to be a capable player for the Colts over the last couple of seasons but remaining on the field has been an issue. Bradshaw played just 13 total games over the past two seasons rushing for a total of 611 yards (4.67 average) scoring four touchdowns.

Even with Bradshaw on the roster the Colts have to see Gore as their best option with even Kevin Bowen of speculating that Gore will get the bulk of the playing time.
