Cowboys could start Matt Cassel, Garrett says team will evaluate QB position

After another uninspiring game from Brandon Weeden, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said the team will evaluate the quarterback position going forward.

In three starts with Weeden under center the Cowboys offense has sputtered.

If the Cowboys do move on from Weeden they will almost surely turn to Matt Cassel who was acquired from the Buffalo Bills shortly after Tony Romo suffered a broken collarbone in a Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys have played Weeden but his ability has been questioned since being thrust into the starters role as the team reached out to retired former backup Kyle Orton about his availability prior to trading for Cassel.

With three straight losses and looking at a bye week the time could not be more ripe for a change under center in Dallas.
