Free agent wide receiver Wes Welker is considering retirement.

Welker is considering all options as he approaches his 34th birthday, telling friends and family that he is giving thought to leaving the football field.

It was a extremely down season for Welker who suffered the third known concussion of his career. He played 14 games and caught just 49 passes.

If Welker does continue to play it is unlikely to be in Denver with the Broncos. He has 890 career catches but would have a hard time landing a job as anything more than a third option.
