While John Fox and the Bears have not reached terms on a new contract the job reportedly is his if he wants it.
Fox and the Broncos parted ways after their loss on Sunday. During that time Fox led the Broncos to four straight AFC West titles but were unable to excel in the post season.
While Fox flew back to Denver following talks with the Bears on Wednesday he is still the heavy favorite to coach the Bears next season.
One NFL source told CSN Chicago that “the Bears job is John’s if he wants it.”
Todd Bowles interviewed with the Bears last week but opted to take the head coaching job with the Jets. Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn appears set to join the Falcons.
