Jim Schwartz out as defensive coordinator of Bills

The Bills hired Rex Ryan as their lead coach and parted ways with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz at the same time.

Some will paint Schwart’s decision to leave due to his love for a 4-3 defense while Ryan prefers but this one is all about egos and the incoming staff Ryan is bringing with him from New York.

Schwartz would have been a defensive coordinator only in name, now he will be looking for a lateral move to another organization after the he led the Bills to a NFL high 54 sacks in 2014.

Given the success Schwartz had with the Bills there will be no shortage of suitors seeking his services for the 2015 season. Expect him to find a new job quickly.
