Andrew Luck keeps beard long because he is scared of razor burn

Razor burn, not blitzing defenders, is Andrew Luck’s fear.

On a conference call this week with reports, Luck was asked why he did not shave his beard.

“I know it’s a bad look. My girlfriend tells me every day. My mom tells me,” the Colts quarterback said. “I realize it’s a bad look. But I’m not going for any specific look.”

So exactly why does Luck not shave the beard?

“To be honest, I don’t like shaving during the season. Razor burn. If you grow it this long, you might as well keep it.”

Luck had his best offensive season this year throwing for 4,761 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions this past season. His only problem was being a bit careless with the football and producing 13 fumbles. He will need to secure the ball better for Sunday’s AFC Playoff game against the Broncos.
