Aided by a running into the kicker penalty, the Detroit Lions went 99 yards to take a 14-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday’s Wild Card Round game.
Dakota Hamilton was called for running into Lions punter Sam Martin giving the visitors to AT&T Stadium a fresh set of downs. The result was the continuation of a drive that went 99 yards in 7:10 and was capped by a 18 yard touchdown run by Reggie Bush.
The Cowboys offense has yet to get anything going with the offensive line failing to protect quarterback Tony Romo or provide holes for DeMarco Murray.
Detroit’s 99 yard drive was the first in the playoffs in 12 years.
