The Falcons could again be without Julio Jones when they take the field in Week 16.
While head coach Mike Smith expects Jones to suit up offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter was less optimistic.
“It’s hard when you don’t know for sure if a guy is going to play,” Koetter said. “We kind of have to have a contingency both ways. We have some ‘what if Julio plays,’ and some ‘what if Julio does not play.’ … That’s one of the hardest things about not knowing if one of your best guys is going to go.”
The status of Jones may not be clear until the end of the week and its quite possible he is a game-time decision.
Jones had two monter games before the injury totaling 21 catches for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
