The Denver Broncos are not concerned about a thigh injury to quarterback Peyton Manning that forced him out of Sunday’s win against the San Diego Chargers before half time.

Manning was said to be ill prior to the game receiving an IV of fluids. He started the game anyway and backup Brock Osweiler was held to just two pass attempts during Manning’s brief absence.4

The Broncos believe that the injury suffered by Manning had more to do with his existing illness than anything else and believe that he should have no trouble being ready for next weekends game.

Manning’s numbers have been down in recent weeks falling to 14-of-20 for 233 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers as the Broncos ground game has picked up the slack.

Now 11-3 on the season the Broncos have won the AFC West and will get an extra day of rest this week as they play against the Bengals on Monday night in Week 16.
