The Cardinals will hope for the best out of Ryan Lindley as they wrap up the season.
Drew Stanton who had played well in the absence of Carson Palmer will miss the next month with a knee injury suffered on Thursday.
A 2012 draft pick, Lindley appeared in six games – including four starts – in his rookie season but was sitting on the Chargers practice squad until Palmer tore his ACL.
At 11-3 the Cardinals will play against the Seahawks this week. Their goal would seem to be earn a first round bye and allow Stanton to return for the playoffs but given the inabilities of Lindley that proposition is going to be difficult.
Rookie Logan Thomas is the backup on the Cardinals now. He could be a quick insertion into the lineup if Lindley falters.
