Brandon Marshall done for season with collapsed lung

brandonmarshall
The season of Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is over.

In addition to two broken ribs the 30-year-old Marshall also suffered a collapsed lung from a hit in Thursday night’s loss to the Cowboys.

Doctors were able to treat the collapsed lung of Marshall and there should not be any long-term effects.

With Marshall out of action the Bears will not have to target Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett even more. Marques Wilson could also see an increase in targets from quarterback Jay Culter.

Marshall will finish with his first sub-1000 yard season since his rookie year of 2006. He caught 61 passes for 721 yards and eight touchdowns this year.
