The Houston Texans will be without Brian Cushing and Jadeveon Clowney when they play the Philadelphia Eagles today.

Cushing had been expected to play in this game but his knee continues to be bothersome. He could return as soon as next week.

“Obviously, I want to play and I hope to play, and the coaches want me to play. That’s the plan,” Cushing said after practicing Friday. “But there’s a lot of things that come into account and we have to make the best decision for everyone.”

Though seven games played he has recorded 50 tackles and a sack.

Meanwhile Clowney is out this time due to sickness after dealing with an injury earlier in the year.

The rest of the Texans inactives include QB Tom Savage, WR DeVier Posey, CB Darryl Morris, ILB Jeff Tarpinian and T Jeff Adams.
