A day after Austin Pettis was a healthy scratch for the Rams he has been waived.
Pettis was in his fourth year with the Rams after the team drafted him in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Boise State.
The 26-year-old Pettis appeared in five games for the Rams this season catching 12 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. Given his past contributions and his ability to play special teams there is a decent chance that Pettis gets claimed on waivers.
