On Friday Percy Harvin was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the New York Jets for a conditional 2015 draft pick.

The Seahawks decided that the 26-year-old Harvin was not a good fit with the rest of the team reports the Seattle Times.

Harvin allegedly got into an altercation with former Seahawk Golden Tate prior to last years Super Bowl that resulted in Tate getting a black eye. In August Harvin is alleged to have gotten into an altercation with Doug Baldwin.

The trade of Harvin will clear up some salary cap space next season that could be used to re-sign quarterback Russell Wilson and linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright.

Prior to the 2013 NFL Draft Harvin was acquired by the Seahawks from the Minnesota Vikings for a first and seventh round pick in 2013 and a third round pick in 2014. He then signed a six-year deal with the Seahawks worth $67 million of which just over $25 million was guaranteed.
