The Cincinnati Bengals website says that wide receiver A.J. Green could miss multiple games due to re-aggravated toe injury. Green, a three-time Pro Bowler, could join a list of injured pass catchers that include the likes of Tyler Eifert and Marvin Jones.
Green was carted off the field Wednesday before practice even got underway.
There seems to be no indication as to what doctors will suggest for Green. The team’s website believes it could be anything from playing though the injury with treatment to sitting out multiple weeks.
The Bengals spoke about running the ball this offseason and now it may come to the offense leaning on it with so many of Andy Dalton’s targets off the field.
On the season Green has 17 catches for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
Fanasy owners will want to have other options for Green. He is worth keeping on the roster at this point because of his big play ability when he is on the field. He is averaging 18.5 yards per catch this season.
