Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson was forced from Thursday’s preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks after suffering a concussion.

Brock Coyle delivered a big blow to Anderson who was dazed as he attempted to walk off the field. Anderson has been battling Ronnie Hillman for the No. 2 running back duties for the Broncos.

Prior to going down Anderson ran once for five yards and caught two passes for nine yards. Depending on how long Anderson is out he could be forced to enter the season as No. 3 on the depth chart.

Anderson toted the ball seven times for 38 yards last season as a rookie. He did not render a catch.
