Once the face of the Houston Texans offense, wide receiver Andre Johnson now wants to place elsewhere. Thus far the Texans have shown no desire to trade Johnson whose status with the team has been an ongoing question.

The hangup around Johnson’s status with the Texans is about a $1 million workout bonus reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

The question revolved around his $1 million bonus for attending workouts.

Though Johnson had missed some of the sessions, he wanted to earn his money back by working out extra, allowing him to receive the money.

The Texans told him no, per two sources informed of the situation.

Not counting the workout bonus Johnson is set to make $10 million this season from the Texans.

In a recent interview with NFL.com, Johnson was unsure if he would be with the Texans when Week 1 of the NFL season gets underway.

Even on a 2-14 team that saw a revolving door t quarterback Johnson managed to catch 109 passes for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns in 2013.
