The Oakland Raiders traded for Matt Schaub hoping he could provide some stability at quarterback. He may not make it a full season.
As NFL.com’s Albert Breer notes “there is internal belief” that second-round QB Derek Carr could move into the starters role quickly.
This is nothing new. It is no secret that the Raiders are high on Carr who could be pushed onto the field rather than serving a year on the bench.
Schaub got most of the first team snaps during OTAs but his status as the teams starter will only continue if he puts up numbers. If he performs anything like he did last season in Houston he will be gone.
