San Francisco 49ers player Vernon Davis skipped the teams voluntary mini-camp. By doing so the talented tight end forfeited a $200,000 bonus.
Davis is slated to make $4.7 million this season.

“As you know, the workouts are voluntary. That would be the reason.” said head coach Jim Harbaugh via CSN Bay Area.
Davis and right guard Alex Boone were the only non-injured 49ers who did not participate. While it is unknown if Davis is upset about his current contract, that is the reason that Boone was not present.
Boone is scheduled to make $2.25 million and $1.45 million, including bonuses, in his final two seasons.
