The Minnesota Vikings traded up to get Teddy Bridgewater at the end of the first round, now they are planning to vie him all of the first team repetitions at OTAs.
Matt Cassell was re-signed by the Vikings prior to the draft but it is clear that the team sees Bridgewater as their future.
“Teddy’s been great,” said Vikings coach Mike Zimmer via NFL.com. “He’s had a good command of the offense. I like his leadership. I like his determination. He’s throwing the ball well. He’s got good, quick feet. I think he’s a good athlete. So he’s progressing at a good pace.”
The Vikings appear to have nothing to lose by starting Bridgewater right away.
