The Miami Dolphins have suspended defensive back Don Jones for insensitive remarks posted on twitter following the drafting of Michael Sam by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday.
Following Sam’s selection, and subsequent kissing of his boyfriend, Jones took to twitter to tweet “OMG” and “horrible.”
“I was made aware of it and I was disappointed in those comments,” Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey said Saturday night. “That’s not what we stand for as an organization.”
Dolphins fine Don Jones, suspend him from team activities for his remarks about Michael Sam on Twitter yesterday.

It was just a few months ago that the Dolphins became the subject to intense media scrutiny during the Jonathan Martin-Richie Incognito bully-gate saga.
Jones will have to undergo sensitivity training before returning to the Dolphins.
If Jones is an unfamiliar name to you it is because he only appeared in five games last season making 10 tackles and forcing two fumbles. He is currently listed as a backup safety.
