Aaron Murray was the first in a run of SEC quarterbacks drafted on Saturday.

After finishing his college career at Georgia, Murray entered the NFL Draft this year as the SEC’s all-time leading passer but fell to the fifth round as teams had concerns about his arm strength, size and injury history. Murray suffered a torn ACL to end his college career in 2013.

In the fifth round Murray had his name called by the Kansas City Chiefs. There he will compete with Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray for the backup spot behind Alex Smith.

At 6’0 and 207 pounds Murray has drawn some comparisons to Seattle Seahawks starter Russell Wilson. Only time will tell how accurate those comparisons are.
