The Seattle Seahawks will reward head coach Pete Carroll with a contract extension at a Friday press conference reports’s Ian Rapoport.

Since he returned to the NFL, Carroll has led the Seahakws to a 38-26 record over the last four regular seasons. With a win in this years Super Bowl the 62-year-old coach became one of just three coaches to win a NCAA title and a Super Bowl.

No word on how long the new deal would be for, his initial deal in 2010 was for five years.

The Seahawks have one a playoff game in three of the last four seasons. With the Seahawks core still young and taleneted there is no reason to believe the winning will stop anytime soon.
